Allama Prof. Dr. Rukhsar Ahmed is an academician, jurist and expert the field of Islamic Finance. His educational background includes a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Islamic Finance from IIU, a Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Finance from KU, a Master of Laws in Islamic Finance from FUUAST, a Master of Islamic Finance from KU, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Business from KU. Certified from University of Edinburgh, Scotland and Harvard Law School, Harvard University, USA.

His extensive experience in academia encompasses roles as a Meritorious Professor, Dean in five Universities and Acting Vice Chancellor for two Govt Sector Universities, including SZABUL University, SMI University, Indus University, Baqai Medical University, and Federal Urdu University, further solidifying his commitment to academic excellence and institutional leadership. Higher Education Commission Pakistan nominated Dr. Rukhsar Ahmed for the Dean and Vice Chancellor training in Leadership at University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

He has around three decades of experience in Corporate, Academia, Research and Law. Author of more than 100 publications including 25 Books and performing honorary editorial services to International Index Journals including Chief Editor of the Islamic Finance Journal, HEC Approved PhD supervisor and Approved Resource Person of Higher Education Commission, Pakistan since 2012.

In addition to his academic pursuits, he has held various professional positions, including President of the Takaful Association, Director at ASA Microfinance Bank Ltd, and Chairman of the Institute of Islamic Banking & Takaful Insurance, Pakistan

He started teaching/writing as Lecturer/journalist and as an advocate in early 1990 (3 decades) and Professor since 2000 (2 decades), In SZABUL served as member of Syndicate, Dean, Director QEC, Chairman Doctoral Research Committee, Chairman “Organizing committee of International Legal Education Conference 2015.
